On behalf of all members of the Korean Society for Bioinformatics (KSBI) and the organizing committee of BIOINFO 2023, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for your active participation and support to our biggest annual event. We are especially excited that this year’s conference will be held for the first time in the beautiful coastal city of Yeosu, and we hope you will have a memorable time while staying at the conference.

We would like to express our gratitude to all session chairs and speakers for sharing their knowledge and promoting the state-of-the-art advances in various bioinformatics research areas. We especially thank the members of the BIOINFO 2023 program committee for their unwavering efforts in ensuring high academic standards for presentations and content, which have made this conference a memorable event.

We are thrilled to welcome two prominent scientists, Prof. Peer Bork of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory and Prof. Sun Kim of Seoul National University, as Plenary Lecture speakers. The conference will feature several special sessions, including AI in Bioinformatics, AI in Digital Bio, AI in Healthcare, AI-driven Structural Informatics, Computational Metagenomics, Clinical Informatics, Spatial Omics Informatics, Single-cell Multi-omics Informatics, and several education sessions. We believe BIOINFO 2023 will facilitate the opening the era of Digital Biology.
